synopsis : : In this project we wanted to work around the genius use of light in Casa Batlló by its architect Antoni Gaudí, making sure every single visitor come to appreciate such qualities, independently of the admiration towards its incredible shapes, craftmanship and symbolic allusions. And we wanted to do it in an abstract way, free of the colours, materials and the historical dimension of the house; without distractions and nostalgia. We imagined this space dressed in aluminum chain curtains, able to catch light through its meticulous materiality, like fishing nets, presenting it in all its different phenomena: shines, silhouettes, shadows… thus, avoiding the use of any other material and with these curtains erasing the presence of other architectural elements, we achieve talking about light and only light : : photos & video by Imagen Subliminal > https://vimeo.com/593422774, photos BW by E.
