synopsis : : This project aimed for an outdoor "terraza" for a japanese restaurant in Madrid, but what started as a simple wooden pergola evolved into a rather complex wooden envelope due to the requiremenet of keeping within the existing trees and street lights. Computational tools were used to develop the project in a way that would input this requirement as a design oportunity and not as the uncomfortable regulation it was. : :
